八里垃圾焚化廠

The Bali Refuse Incineration Plant is located in the coastal area of Xiagu Village at Bali District in New Taipei City. The main building was designed by the renowned architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. Gorgeous and shining as it is, like an emerald reflecting the afterglow of the sunset in Bali. About 1/2 of the city's waste (400,000 metric tons) is properly disposed and converted into electricity every year. The annual power generation capacity is 250 million kilowatt-hours, which is sufficient to supply about 70,000 households throughout the year. The energy conversion efficiency is the highest among the 24 incineration plants in the country.
